Edge Logistics Shows Promise as Astounding Growth Continues
Since its debut into the logistics management industry in 2014, Edge Logistics has provided the latest in state-of-the-art freight technology solutions and innovative software and tools designed for its shipping and transportation customers.
Serving shippers and carriers across the United States, this family-owned and managed business quickly became a leader within the industry and a valuable resource for small businesses and major companies. The growth has been high and sustained to the point that Edge Logistics has ranked on INC 5000 lists of the fastest-growing companies list for numerous years in a row.
And this growth and success have carried over into personal company growth in several impressive ways.
The company has continued to grow and expand its talent pool with new team members and management to carry them into the future. This growth and expansion came soon after Edge announced the relocation of a new Chicago headquarters and a new office in Phoenix. Additionally, the company earned a spot of recognition on Crain’s Fastest 50 growing Chicago companies for the fourth consecutive year.
The growing demand and need for logistical services, tools, and technology have resulted in Edge Logistics adding many new hires. Much of this includes the hiring of Ben Beddes as VP of Edge Phoenix and a whole suite of staff to support our westward expansion. But our hiring goes well beyond that single office, ranging from bringing in top-line executives through boots-on-ground service team members everywhere we operate. And this is not the end as the company continues to grow and expand customer services, staffing, services, and industry reach.
Edge recently named Jonathan Kevin Green its new CFO to further facilitate growth and expansion. A graduate of the Charles H. Kellstadt Graduate School of Business at DePaul University, Green brings 14 years of experience in accounting to the executive leadership team at Edge Logistics.
His expertise will be invaluable to the company, help guide it further, and facilitate its journey toward success within the freight industry. The goal is to expand Western impacts and presence further, build talent pools, offer more powerful coverage and support in MST, and continue innovating routine supply chain management and logistical practices with innovative apps like CAPACITY.
Despite current uncertainty and volatility within local and global markets, Edge Logistics keeps an eye on the future and finds innovative ways to grow and expand. Current and new team members work closely with all departments to direct all accounting functions, manage budgets, identify new revenue streams, and financial planning and analysis. With eyes on the future, things look promising for the company and industry partners.
